As for many people, 2008 was a trying year.  Our Fairview Fire Department weathered the same financial strains.  It is that time of year again when we kick off our Fund Drive that helps provide the necessary funding needed to operate our fire department.  Although the firemen/ women and medical technicians are volunteers, the equipment they use to protect us is incredibly costly to maintain.

 With escalating operating costs as a result of increases in heating costs and fuel, our need of your support has never been greater.  Please be generous in your support because without our local Fire Department and the Volunteers who give generously of their time, our own insurance and municipal taxes would be significantly higher.

 Again, on behalf of the Fairview Fire Department, and the Community they service, I thank you for your prompt and generous response.
